If you are paying for the wedding yourself...are you giving the parents a gift? I gave my parents a gift at my first wedding, but they paid for it. This wedding me and FH are paying. Am I expected to get the parents a gift again?
We're paying for our wedding ourselves. We're just going to give our parents the parent albums that are included with our photography package. I'm not sure i would even know what else to do since they know we're pressed for cash.
We are paying for the wedding ourselves, but my parents have done so much for me that I want to get them gifts to show them my appreciation. Same with FH. You are not expected to get the parents a gift, it really depends on if you want to get them a gift.
Glad this was posted I was wondering the same thing myself. I was thinking just parent albums sicnr parents aren't contributing but now FH's parents are contributing a bit. Idk lol I have plenty of time to think on it
