parents are crazy

Ok so I had booked an afternoon wedding mostly because it's cheaper and I didn't want my parents to pay any more than they had to. I could have done a night wedding someplace else that's cheaper but I really loved where I was getting married.
But tonight, OUT OF NOWHERE, mom comes in my room and says that her and dad want to pay for a night wedding. They think it would just be easier to get ready in the morning and they always envisioned an evening wedding for me.
Alright, I guess I'm gonna be making some phone calls tomorrow. Good thing I didn't book anything else yet.

Everyone will tell you about 100 different things to do. As lon g as it is what you want then go for it. Congrats on booking!!!

if you want it at nite and still want to save some $$, have it on a friday nite and sunday nite!

AWWWW thats great!!! I hope you can still get your Lands end ... Everything will work out If mom and dad want to do they night im sure they have good reasons ...

I can understand with your parents I feel the same way. When it came to that I just rather paid the extra money because I will be running around like crazy trying to do everything last minute. I find when you have an early wedding it really goes by fast not as if the evening one doesn't but the morning ones go by so quick and I was thinking how many folks would want to get their party on 12 in the evening as opposed to 7pm. Im just not a fan of early in the day weddings. I did not find that it was much of a difference in price maybe like 10 bucks the most.

I agree, this is something you maybe able to negotiate w/ the RH. Same price you are getting for afternoon might be able to be ok for Friday or Sun.

hey i agree as long as thats what you want then go for it! Its especially easier for you since you havent started to book vendors yet! Congrats BTW!

Congratulations - that is awesome! It is harder for an afternoon FIL had an afternoon - she had to get up realllllllll early to start getting dressed!

Congrats on booking. Whether you have it in the evening or afternoon it will be perfect! They do such a greaat job at lands end.

well let me know what happens.....call Lands End and see what night weddings are available.....

i hope you stay with Lands End
