I am trying to plan a surprise party for my parents. They both are turning 50 in November. Their birthdays are 1 week apart. I dont really have that much money, but was wondering if anyone knows of any halls that I can rent? That arent too expensive I live in Patchogue, but if you know of anywhere in nassau, Iam open to Ideas.

I know the Pat/Medofrd Fire Dept. rents out their 'hall' and they have a full fnctioning kitchen. FSIL, had her baby's 1st b-day there. I'm not sure the exact location of it though, as I kinda get lost out there...but I can ask FH for details.
What about having something at one of their fav. restaurants with only close friends and family??

My FIL is actually chief of North Patchogue Fire Dept, but not sure if I can use it yet. They have gotten strict with who they rent it too. Its supposed to be immediate family. He is supposed to get back to me. Thats where I would love to. If you can give me info on the Pat-Med fire house, that would be awesome. Thank-you!

What about the Library Cafe in Farmingdale? The upstairs is private and its around $30pp for a party with beer, wine and soda, and it includes a sit down dinner or buffet and dessert / coffee.
We had a small engagement party there with immediate family and the bridal party - we had a great time, it was very nice! - We had about 35 people, you could probably fit 50, but more comfortably 40-45 I would say.

ETA: I just read you want an actual hall.
I think there is a VFW in Levittown that rents out for a couple hundred bucks :) My sister had her sweet 16 there.

Any knights of columbus I think allows this ... and some fire depts ....
another idea - for my parents' 30th anniv we invited some of their close friends to dinner. they all paid their own way - we just surprised my parents by having the friends there when it was supposed to be just my sister and i and our significant others. i think me and my sister paid for my parents. just an idea.
