Re: parents entrance song

We are really trying to do something unique for that... my dad always watches bonanza (the oldest show on the planet) so we are going to surprise my parents and play that. Try to find a song that reminds you of them. My friend is 100% italian so she played the sopranos theme song.

FH's dad is a huge Johnny Cash fan, so I think we are doing I Walk The Line

my mom and dave's are huge game show fans - we did the Match Game theme song for them!

honestly - my mom said she didn't even hear it - over all the hollering & clapping...do not stress it!

Re: parents entrance song

the thing is my FH mom is a widow. So should she walk in with my parents? Like arm and arm with my mom and his mom. Or should she walk with FH brother who is the best man. And if she does that who does my MOH walk with?

have her walk in with your mom & dad if you don't mind.

I was at a wedding on Saturday where the brides' mom was a single & she came in on the groom's dad's arm and everyone LOVED IT...he looked like the big man! It was really sweet!

I have also been to a wedding where the MOG was a widow and she was walked in by her other son...who was the best man. He just went back out to the line again.

I agree, if all parents are on board with it I would go for it--it would be really nice and sweet, and really show your families coming together!

Re: parents entrance song

We used 'Simply the Best' for our parents introductions. We had the DJ time it so that right after they said 'and our parents of the bride, Steve and Joan!' thats where the chorus played. And then they just looped it for DH parents.

Does she have a brother? Maybe she can be escorted in by FH's godfather?
