Parents gifts?

Parents gifts?

Hi,

What is everyone giving as parents gifts? Also, are you still giving each set of parents the same type of gift, regardless of their assistance or contribution for the wedding?

I'm looking for some different ideas, rather than picture frames, etc.

For my dad im giving him a double frame with a picture of me as a little girl on one side and a poem on the other engraved in silver...for my mother I am going to treat her to a day at the spa...just the two of us and a mother hankie to 'catch her tears of joy' I'm not sure what we are going to do for my FH parents...We have some time to think about it though...Hope this was helpful...

We are giving our FI's parents a nice 8x10 cystal pix frame from Mikasa. For my mom I am giving her my mommy's girl frame, one side will have a baby pix of me with my b-date below it. In the next side will have a poem, which be replaced by a pix of me from my wedding day, below that pix is my wedding date. I will try to post a pix

Embroidered hankies are nice - know where I can find any in Nassau that does embroidery?

we got our mothers earrings to wear with their dresses (his mom got black pearl, my mom got diamonds). I also made my mom a hankie and he made his parents a charcoal drawing of their wedding picture.
Both dads got cufflinks.

My parents are paying for 1/2+ the wedding...so we bought them a big screen TV (their tv had just died and they weren't going to get the one they had their eye on, so we stepped up - but had to get it 2 months before the wedding)

but at the rehearsal dinner...we are giving my mom, fh's mom, fh's 'second' mom/nanny, and FH's aunt (RD host) a silver 8x10 picture frame...and will fill it in with a picture...I didn't engrave them, b/c I figured that someone would want to return it, knowing our families...

for my dad, I had FMIL smuggle in Cuban cigars for him and the wedding itself...

for FH's uncle (RD host) a nice bottle of scotch (his drink of choice) and a poker set
