I was thinking of giving the parents a 8 x10 frame that matches my China pattern and I gift cert to their fav restaurant....but then i remembered that my brother give that to my patterns for his wedding 4ys ago,......is that silly to give my parents now, even though the China pattern is complete different??

I think its a great idea... i'm thinking of this too...getting our mom's a nice pic frame like Vera Wang or something and we got our dad's cartier pens already.
I think it would be really nice if it matched your china pattern!!

we're doing 8x10 frames so when our pics are ready, we can give it to them. i think you giving a frame is fine, i'm sure your parents want your wedding pic up too, as well as your brothers. and it'll be in you china pattern, which makes it extra nice!

when are you all giving gifts? before the wedding, after as a thank you gift, etc? My sister gave my parents a gift cert to a hotel I think ... I don't have the money for that ... and I was thinking of waiting until after the wedding (which I had better stop, because lately I've been saying 'oh, we'll use a little wedding money for that' and if I keep doing that, there will be no wedding money left for a downpayment!!!!!)

I am probably doing it at the rehersal dinner the night before when i give the BM and GM their gifts.

i think that's a great gift! plus if they already have an 8x10 of your brother it would be nice for them to have one of you also. your parents will like it!
