Re: Parents Gifts

That's really tricky....maybe you could get them both the same gift and present your parents with an additional gift when they are not with your fh's parents....

Sorry, I don't really know what to tell you in this situation.

I am in the same situation

I think I am giving both sets of parents something similar at the RD...and then giving my parents something else in private

I did the same thing. We got my parents a trip. We gave it to them before the rehearsal dinner. At the RD, we gave my mom a pair of earrings she wanted for the wedding and we got my dad cufflinks and a pocket knife. His parents we gave his mom a circle of life pendant and his dad some golf thing he wanted.

Pretty sure this is what I'm doing too.

I'm thinking we will get both sets digital picture frames.

then for my parents..they love to go out to eat and have a few places they go to all the time, so either a gc to that or they also go to borgata & Mohegan sun a lot, so maybe a gc for that.

I'm also thinking of taking my mom and sis (moh) for massages the week before the wedding as a thank you!

We are getting my parents who are paying for the majority a Plasma TV and we are getting my FIL's a weekend trip. We wanted to do something nice for both since they were so generous.

We're going to send my parents away, who are paying for the E party, and the whole wedding (minus flowers and photograph) for a weekend to Vermont. It'll probably cost us around $700-800 for two nights stay plus dinner and breakfast each day.

FHs parents are not giving us a dime. I'd rather not get them anything, but I know FH will want to. I get all kinds of catalogs at work and I got a gift basket one which great baskets for SUPER cheap. The kind of thing that Harry and David makes, but half the price. So we'll probably get them each one of those for like $30-40.

Re: Parents Gifts

I think a trip would be great....I was thinking a night at foxwoods or something to relieve some stress after the wedding

Re: Parents Gifts

Mystic is a great place for them to stay at also and it is sooo close to Foxwood's....they have bed and breakfast places everywhere, you can go whale watching, etc. and drive to Foxwood's whenever you want....hope that helps.

We got them a trip to Argentina. My mom has some family there and they have never been. We are booking it for this winter coming up. We are spending a lot, but it doesn't compare to how much they spent on us!
