Parents Gifts

what did you get your parents and his parents as gifts!? I need some ideas...

We inserted a photo of FH's parents on their wedding day and had 'With Love, Jane and John' engraved on it.

we are doing gift certificates to hotels they like. they both enjoy going away a lot - for my parents we are getting a gift cert to a place in greenport since my parents love it there, and for my FILs I think we are going to get a gift cert to a hotel in key west. they live in FL in sarasota, a few hours from key west, but they love key west.

We got personalized photo albums from Things Remembered and for my parents I bought MOB and FOB handkerchiefs.

For our moms we are getting them hankies (since they keep saying how the will be crying all day) and decorating a box of tissues sort of as a joke and then an 8x 10 frame to put our wedding picture in
For my dad I am getting him a pic frame with 2 5x7 slots and putting a pic of my and my dad when I was younger and the other slot will be for us on the wedding day and until the wedding pic is in it I will put a poem.
For his dad and step mom probably a picture frame with something engraved on it.

i got my mom a lenox 'a mothers loving touch' figurine. i got my dad a watch and a money clip engraved with his initials. i got my FIL a monogrammed brooks brothers shirt and shot glasses that i engraved as well.

I found this great seller on Etsy called ArtfulBeginnings...she can make just about anything out of silk, including adding a photo or image of some sort.

I asked her to make me 2 silk pillows for our moms, and a silk scroll for my dad. They came out amazing!! And her customer service is great, too!!

I got them both hankies and I ended up buying the Lenox 'A Mother's Touch' statue that someone posted about.

FH doesn't know what he wants to get his parents.

just found out that travelocity allows you to buy gift cards .... an option if either set of parents like to travel but you don't know where they might want to go?

We wanted something that can be worn on the wedding day, so we got the mom's a pearl set-necklace, earings and bracelet. We got the dad's the same as the GMs-pocket watches.

I love this idea. Provided my Dad was still alive I would love to do something like this. I can imagine my dad crying when he saw it because he was a cryer...
