What did/are you giving as gifts? Is anyone giving the parents albums as gifts??

We are giving our parents albums, but not as gifts in that respect. I got my mom a lenox box, and we haven't figured out what we are getting his parents yet. We want to do something really nice cuz they have helped us out a lot.

We are giving them albums and at the reh. dinner we are giving them picture frames Lenox/Belleek I typed up a thankyou with the words to Kind and Generous to put into the frames.

same as lunatrek! speaking of that - is anyone giving 'uneven' gifts to one set of parents vs. the other? if so, how do you plan on giving them? i wanted to do this at the rehearsal dinner, but it wouldnt look right to give my parents dinner and a show in NYC and his dinner in CT (they are appropriate considering the circumstances). any suggestions on how to do this? i want to publicly thank my parents at the RD (and his) but not embarrass one or the other.

maybe 'on the side' later that night youcould give your parents the second half of th gift??
we are giving them the albums, but we will also buy them a nice frame for the picture they are getting( 5 x 7 size)

we got my parents a big screen tv...my mom kept saying she wanted to buy one...but kept saying that they were too expensive...so we figured with the amount of money that they put into our wedding...it was the least that we could do...
my mom didn't want an album...so we got her a folio and an 8x10 and a frame andthe same for MIL
we also got my dad a box of Cuban cigars...

i wanted to get my mom the cd w/the song that we are dancing to but she ended up giving it to me fist so now i have to think of something else!
