Parent's gifts?

Parent's gifts?

FH and I are trying to think of something to give to our parents....we want to give something nice, because both sets are being extremely generous in regards to our wedding.

I was looking at an overnight in the city for each of them, but my parents have stayed in some swanky hotels and the hotel I looked at that I know is nice, clean, and spacious (Marriott Marquis in Times Square) is $350 a night. Times 2, that is a lot.

So what did you girls do??

TIA!

We got my parents tickets to see Jersey Boys.

Nothing to extravagant but more sentimental, pocket watches for the Dads, Snowglobes for the moms, frames for both sets. All with mushy engravings.

I'm thinking of giving parent albums...they don't come cheap I tell you, but my FH's mom is haunting me for it...so I decided that would be a nice present...

We gave them Kodak Pulse Frames.

Digital Frames that you can email pictures to...they are tech saavy people and now the frame just sits in their house and cycles through all the pictures our family emails it.

i wouldn't do a night in NYC - you don't know if they would go and if its something they might want to do, KWIM?
we didn't do parent gifts either way, but i would rather receive something that I could keep and look back and remember years from now
