Parents Gifts

Parents Gifts

So, we are paying for their individual wedding albums, and I also got my mom an engraved frame (figured she could put a pic of me and her from my wedding day). I may also get her a bracelet from brighton.

Now I'm just thinking of my dad, not really getting him anything....just the wedding album. Not sure if it's overkill w/ the bracelet.

Also, what about my MIL? What is everyone else doing?

Re: Parents Gifts

I'm doing parent albums for my parents and in laws. I'm thinking about having FH give his mom an embroidered hankie for the wedding (because he's the oldest and first to get married - I know she'll be crying her eyes out). Not sure what I'll get my mom or dad. FFIL is a GM, so he'll just get what the rest of them are getting

Right now its just the parent albums and we will be buying our moms their dresses and accessories for the day of. Not sure about our dads yet or if we will do anything extra for our moms.

I am doing the parent's albums and maybe something small for each mother bc we are paying for the entire wedding. I mean my parents bought my dress and accessories and my in-laws gave us money towards the deposit but that's it. At our 1st small wedding we got the mother's crystal roses that we presented to them during the ceremony. So maybe we will do something along those lines again. I am not going crazy getting them gifts for something we paid for.

Same situation! Definitely doing the parents albums, but we are footing the large majority of the bill too and feel the same way.

Since all parents are divorced, we got all 4 sets a photo album from Things Remembered and said we would pay for pictures to go in them (3 out of 4 parents didn't want a parent album).

My mom/stepdad and dad/stepmom paid for our wedding. We got them the album and a dinner cruise around the city where they live (Manhattan and San Francisco).

For my MIL, we got her, in addition to the album, a Brighton bracelet with my birthstone, my DH's birthstone, SIL's birthstone and the mom charm.

For my FIL, we got him, in addition to the album, an engraved watch.

Re: Parents Gifts

Just saw on Etsy a girl who does the hangers for the whole bridal party. I want to get the mother of the groom and mother of the bride ones and then get my girls one each with their names on them... still stuck on what to get my dad though!

I'm not sure what to get our parents. We like a lot of girls on here are footing the bill so I don't feel to go overboard with gifts especially because of lack of money. I am going to do parent albums. Not sure what else yet.
