wish me luck.. I am getting ready for the first meeting of the parents and siblings! I am so nervous. i know they'll like each other but they have nothing in common!!! --& I am not the outgoing type & I know I will have to be talkative and the one to bring them together-- uggh!!!

dont sweat it! when our parents met for the first time i was freaked too! we had not only cultural differences (i'm filipino and IL's are italian) but language differences too which was alot of fun! IL's still speak italian as a first language so i knew that they would have a hard time communicating. but it turned out that they loved each other!
and just remember, even if they dont love each other, all that matters is that you and FH do!!!!

O no honey! I just went through the same thing as you last Sunday. They are all so completely different that I was dreading it. But I just kept in the back of my mind that I know all of them and they are all happy that this is happening so I prayed everyone would be on their best behavior... and it went better then I could have ever expected. Let me know how it goes and maybe we can compare stories!!! I will keep my fingerse cross for you.

There was a language difference with us too- my parents are immigrants and his are born here-- but it worked out fine. His parents were patient and my parents are better with their English they they even know.

Thanks-- you're right-- we were both nrevous and found comfort in one another-- we felt closer to one another after this experience too
overall it was very nice. THANK GOD they liked each other!
