I have seen those plaques that have anice sayin on them about parents. Does anyone know where to get a nice one.
Allison - As the responses clearly show there is no right or wrong way to pay for a wedding today.
I am sure your famailes will do what they can to support you and your new husband. There are ways to have a beautiful wedding on LI for less than $20,000. Think about what you can afford and go from there unless you want to start out in debt.

Mother's gift
Does anyone have an idea of what to get for my future MIL? She has Alzheimer's and just recently went into an assisted living type place. I can't think of a thing to get her as a gift. Whether she is aware of what is going on or not, I would like to honor her especially for raising such a wonderful son. But what do we even get her? She is religious and Irish but I can't think of anything from that anyway...Any ideas at all out there? As I am getting closer to the wedding, my creativity is dwindling.
When we went this past Saturday to sign the contract and do the tasting (which was very good, by the way - with the exceptioon of the Chicken Marsala - it's the house version) there was a wedding, 80th bday party, baby shower and bridal shower going on. There were also about 6 other couples there either 'tasting' or 'touring'.
