Ok....so originally FH and I were going to pay for the wedding but there have been a few changes involving my father and the fact he wants to take care of his only daughter being a single dad and now wants to pay for the majority. He also made it very clear he wants his name on the invitation and at the top.......
Long story short.....things were rough when we were younger with him being a single dad and my mom passing away....and he feels the wedding is a way for him to make up for something or show others he is giving the me this wedding.
So at dinner tonight he said.......my name is to be at the top of the invitation because 'i am giving my daughter her wedding'...PROBLEM......what do I do about FH's parents? They are giving money as well but how do I determine who goes on the invite? Who doesnt....do we use names or just 'parents'. I don't want this to be problem with the families.......any suggestions on what to do with the invites????

i think you can still put your dads name at the top (which i think is the correct way anyway - brides parents first) then put FHs parents names.

I like that one......i have to figure something out because I believe it will start a few fights.
Originally since we were paying it was only going to say our names and say 'parents'......there is always something that is going to upset someone though when planning a wedding.

Yeah I understand, thats why I am putting both my parents full name and FH's parents full name, I dont think it really matters who pays , its what you want to put on the invites and feel comfy with it

I just showed my dad this idea and his comment was 'well you guys are paying as well'....so basically it has to represent the fact its both sets of parents and FH and I that are planning. Man this is giving me a headache..
