Paris for a honeymoon

Paris for a honeymoon

ok ladies.... I think FH and I might have FINALLY decided where to go, Paris!

Has anyone ever been there (or knows someone who's been there) in November?

I looked up the avg. temps and they are 40's to 50's (which is fine with us since we're not hot weather lovers). I was just wondering if anyone had a first hand experience there for that month.

TIA!

We went at the end of last March for my birthday. It was chilly (like in the 50's) and we still saw all the sites. Take a day trip to Versailles. It's beautiful.

I went in March also. It was so beautiful. I remember standing across from the Eifel tower the last night we were there and thinking that there was no more beautiful sight in the world.

Go for it. The weather doesn't matter at all.

I've been to Paris in March and April. The weather is really close to NY weather, but I thought it was 'rainy-er.'

Where are you staying?

We went to paris for part of our honeymoon. We stayed at the Four Seasons. The hotel was beautiful. We were there on September 20th and the weather was much colder than it was in the United States. I ended up buying a few sweaters and a jacket. My favorite part was the Eiffle Tower. I thought Paris was nice. DH liked it more than I did. We went to Mauritius after Paris. Mauritius is an island in the Indian Ocean. I preferred that. Paris is really expensive. Everyone kept telling me that but it was even more expensive than I could imagine. A coke was like $8 and the one in the minibar was like $13!!! The exchange rate was bad so that did not help anything. I would definitely recommend the hotel even though it was pricey. I think it was $900+tax a night including breakfast. I thought the food in Paris was alright. It really did not blow my mind as I had expected. But I loved the pastries and the crepes. Paris is all about the museums!! Be prepared to learn and walk!!!

Here are some pictures.

Yup. I stayed at the Sofitel Rive Gauche. I didn't see any of the suites, but the regular rooms were really nice. It is in a nice area, very quiet, but close to the Metro. I was there about 2 years ago, but I remember the staff members being really friendly and helpful.

Versailles really isn't very far from Paris, only about an hour, so it should be pretty easy for you to get around.

Re: Paris for a honeymoon

I went when I was in High school
I was an exchange student-
Paris is beautiful. I would surely appreciate it much more than I did then, but it was memorable and I am sure you will love it!

IF you have the time, go to the south of france, it is about an hour or so plane ride and soooo worth it!

FM me if you need more info
