There's the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River. I think you need to get permission from them to have pics taken though and they may charge a fee.

I was going to suggest this, there is a permit fee and parking fee, but it's relatively cheap.

There is a small town beach in Sayville, but no grassy field. I'm not sure if you'd need a permit to go there.

This is about as close to a park that I could find in Sayville. Common Ground

Im from Sayville so i can help you out. There are a few places. The Bayard cutting arboretum is gorgeous (its where we did our pics). But if your looking for big grassy areas you may be able to do the grange also which is where the high school senior prom pics are taken. Its at the corner of montauk highway and broadway avenue in sayville. Big grassy fields and i dont think you'll need a permit. Someone suggested the common grounds which are cute but smaller. Another place is Heckscher State Park in East Islip. Big grassy areas, beach too. HTH if you need more info, fm me!

heckscher and the arboretum are beautiful, especially bc the arboretum has the historic bulding on site too. there are also some beautiful spaces on the st. john campus, and corey beach in blue point has a sizeable grassy and wooded area at its entrance. GL

the oakdale aboretum..its right by the oakdale bohemia merge. I am getting married at LE also and we were thinking about taking pics there as well as at LE but we recently changed our minds and are just going to take pics at LE since there are such good photo ops there...besides we are paying for that view !! The park is beautfiul though, but you need to acquire some permit. I would go there for more info...HTH
