Part of my DIY centerpiece idea!
So, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm doing flowerless centerpieces and a 'Lovebird' themed wedding with either Ivory & Jade Green or White and Jade Green, depending on what color dress I wear.
I wanted to do candelabras of some sort and wound up finding these on save-on-crafts.com:

They're 17' tall and will wind up being about 2 ft tall with the 6' pillar candles.
My plan is to possibly paint them white with green pillar candles on them or leave them the way they are and use white pillar candles with Spanish Moss (which I got 24 packages of for $1 a piece) around the base to mimic a bird's nest.
Then, I bought these Ikea candleholders for $.49 each, which are tea light holders, that double as candlestick holders when you flip them over (I'll use one as a candlestick holder for each table at the cocktail hour).
I need to get the correct color green tealights in plastic cups, as opposed to metal cups, because they just don't look at nice, but my plan is to put one of these in front of each person's plate as part of the centerpiece, a favor and place card setting:

I have these bird-shaped cards coming from an Etsy Seller, that I plan to glue upright to the side of the candleholder and incorporate as part of the whole theme. They'll have each person's name on them and represent where they should sit at the table. As an example, replace these pink tealight holders for my nested ikea candleholders:

And the middle will be replaced with the bird-themed pillar candelabras.
As part of the favor, people will receive green organza bags with green tealights inside, so they can take a candleholder home and use it for themselves.
I'm also planning to give a full bottle of wine per couple to take home.
I may try to incorporate green rose petals on the table, but I'm not quite sure. I'm also trying to learn how to make ribbon roses, because I got 30-something spools of green ribbon at Michael's yesterday for about $20.
What do you think??? I know it's not traditional, but I wanted something different anyway.
