partial GM gift, and a question!

This is a 14k gold and onyx tie tack...it will be part of the GM gift. (We'll also get something a little more fun)




.....it can be engraved with 'thank you - 11.23.07' on the BACK, and one initial or 3 initials on the front.

Monogram style (three initials with the last name in the middle in a larger font) IS NOT AVAILABLE.

I don't know what to engrave on the front!

What would you do?

1 initial- first name
1 initial- last name
2 initials- first, last (both same size)
3 initials- first, middle, last (all 3 same size)
blank - no front engraving at all
i don't like the gift, look for something else

As of right now, I'm leaning towards 1 initial - its a small piece, i don't want it to look crowded. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHETHER TO USE FIRST OR LAST NAME!!! argh!

Does JJ look stupid?

i thnk 2 fn/ln is fine. JJ works.

are your GM big tie wearers? Tie tacks are not something I see a lot of these days. I still wear one from time to time, but it's a pretty rare occasion.

only for occasions- weddings, funerals, family parties, etc.
2 are civil servants (NYPD and FDNY) and the other is my 17 yr old brother...he dresses a lot, and always wears a tie tack. He usually borrows my Dad's because he doesn''t have one of his own.

i think you should engrave their 3 letter monogram on the back and leave teh front as is
