Can someone please tell me all of the parts to a Catholic Church Ceremony? We are meeting with our priest on Saturday and I was hoping to have an idea as to what he was going to ask us and the parts of the ceremony so I can start my 'homework'. Thanks!!!

Shannon... didn't the priest give you the white 'Together for Life' Book. that has every part of the mass. You go through the book and you pick every little aspect of the mass... everything from the readings to the songs to the blessings. let me know if you don't have that and I'll type it all out for you... but it's alot.

No, we didn't get that book- we got a different book- and he had specifically asked us for to bring the 'Together for Life' book... but at my Church (we're getting married at my FH's Church by a different priest) they gave us a different book. I wonder if there's a way to get my hands on that book.... Thanks

Re: Parts of a Catholic Ceremony
I think I saw it for sale online at Amazon....Basically, what he will probably want to know is what readings you want to have, prayers of the faithful and there are a few variations on the vows.
For the ceremony, you process in, there is a blessing in the beginning and then the liturgy of the word takes place (the readings). There will be a few readings and then the priest will give a homily, or reflection on the readings. I think the vows come next. After that, there are more blessings, and you are done. If you have a mass, the rest of the mass (prayers of the faithful, Eucharistic prayers and then Eucharist, closing prayers) follows the vows.
I am having lots of family involvement in my mass, so the priest may want to know who is involved. I am having readers, someone bringing up the gifts and Eucharistic ministers. If you are having the ceremony, you would only have to be concerned with who does the readings, I think. If you haven't chosen any of this yet, don't worry. Ask him for suggestions and see if you can get the book from them.
Good luck!

If I remember correctly, the book gives suggestions for your readings and vows. You wouldn't copy it for your program, but you could put the title and the chapter and verses of the readings in the program. In fact, I think you are discouraged from reprinting the entire reading in the programs.
If you need help with the programs, I am sure someone here could help you- I haven't started that task yet

My guy and I are not really religious but my dad wants me to get married in a catholic church (he and my mom ran away to reno to get married, like he should have a say) Anyway, can anyone tell me what kind of questions the priest is gonna ask?

For those of you looking for the white book 'Together for Life', you can find it at the religious store in Roosevelt Field. I was just there over the weekend and I saw it in the back where they sell the bibles. Although your priest really should provide it to you. If they don't, you can definitley get it from there.
