Party City for Invites?

Anyone order invites from Party City? Just wanted to know your experience. Thinking of going there with my mom today!

I did and I had a great experience. The only thing is that there really isn't anyone there to help you so you need to know how you plan on writing out the invitation and enclosures already but they have a good selction and really nice prices and are fast turnarounds.

I did too! I got a really great deal on the invites, 30% off. great selection as well. but I agree, you are basically on your own with the wording. and sometimes they can be disorganized. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago, so they should be in soon. Give yourself plenty of time incase they make mistakes! Good luck!

I totally agree with you on this one, make sure you have what you want written on it with you when you go!

They did make a mistake on mine, I ordered on Memorial Day because they were having a 40% sale and they were in the following Tuesday. They forgot to add my parents names, they just had ILs on top so it looked like I was marrying my brother the way the rest of it was worded

The manager was totally apologetic and I had new, corrected invitations that Friday. I ended up spending $500 for 250 invitations and a bunch of extra envelopes (after my printer ate a bunch).

I ordered mine from Party City and they were awesome. I got 40% off the regular price, i got them within a week of ordering them, and there were no mistakes at all. The only thing is, you should go in already knowing what you want to have printed on the invitations, because the sales people arent very knowledgeable in that area. But if you know what you want, its fast, cheap, and easy.

IMHO there's no subsitute for working with a professional person who can guide you with the correct way to word your invitations ... to me, it wouldn't be worth the minor difference in price ...

Thanks for all of the advice ladies! My mom and I went today and ordered them! Having worked at Hallmark for 4 years and dealing with Carlson Craft, I made sure I had everything written out and organized before we called someone over and it went really smoothly! I got Cinderella invitations to match the Disney theme we have going! They're really nice and also describe me and FH really well since we're such Disney fanatics. So one more thing off the list!

Im going to Party City too. My mom just ordered her wedding invites there on Monday. She said some of them were very pretty.

they really do have nice invites. A few girls on here used them and they looked really nice. Do a search on the boards and see.

Here's a pic of our invites. It's going to be the same font, but in Thistle (a lighter purple):
