I had a 40% of coupon for 1 regular price item at Michaels. I went in to get some invitations. They were regular price $29.99, but on sale for $19.99. My budget is TIGHT for this party. And, I need to get 2 packages.
The girl said I couldn't use the coupon because the item was already on sale. I asked if she could ring it up at full price and then use the coupon because it would work out better that way. She flattly said, 'No'. So, I left without buying anything.
I went across the street to Party City. I asked if they would honor a competitor's coupon. They said 'Sure'.
They were selling the SAME invitations for a REGULAR price of $14.99. So, after the coupon and tax, I got the package for $9.53
I'm gonna go to another Party City tomorrow and try to get the second package.

I'll add their link. Their webpage is pretty much geared toward investors, but it does have store locations and hours. They sell custom invitations from all the major names (except the biggies like Cranes and William Arthur) But, their claim to fame is supplying every kind of party supply imagineable.
