Where is a good place to get really nice ones for the bridesmaides to wear on the day of?

If you live in Nassau, during the summer there is a huge street fair in New Hyde Park. THere is a stand that sells the same ones you get anywhere else for 2 for $10.00! If you could afford to wait and hope they have the color you want, then that's an option lol If not, I'd say on Canal.

there's this store that someone recommended to me but i dont know first hand if they are thaaaat much 'better' (for the price) than the ones u can get for like $5 in nyc

I got mine from www.clubpashmina.com
They also sell on ebay. I was able to get 4 out of 6 in various ebay auctions for total price including S&H of $19.
They are really soft and worth the extra few bucks. I have one from a street vendor and when you put the 2 next to each other, there is no comparison.

go to chinatown in nyc. i got mine for $3 for 10. I am thinking of going back to get them for my bridesmaids in case it is chilly. they were originally $5 but i bought another one and they kept the same price.

FYI, I just bought pashminas from target online and was disappointed with the quality. They are really thin. I may end up returning them provided that I can find 8 light pink pashminas of better quality for a decent price.
I have pashminas that I love from H&M that I got last year for $10 each, but when I went there in December they didn't have them anymore. I was so bummed!
