Ok, so i get all the stuff i need for my passport and make the appoitment like a good person dose, i call and double check on the things i need, so i get to the post office wait 20 mins for to be seen then when i give them all my documents im told im sorry this is not the correct birth certifacte.. Im like huh this is my Bc and she was like well this is from the hosiptal u need ur birth certrficate so i ask what is the diffence and the lady says im not realy sure but i do know they will send this back... err so she tells me to goto the town hall so i call there n they tell me its 10 bucks and i can get it then ok fine then as i go to the atm that charges me 4 dollers n 1 from my bank so now this 10 bucks cost me 20.. errr i get a call from my dad who says he thinks he found the certificate i am looking for so i rush there n get it then go back to the post office and they tell me sorry its past 2:30 we dont do passports past 2:30 AHHH i wanted to scream at the lady but i held it together so i say ok then may i come in tomoarw and shes like ooo yeahh no we are booked.... So now i have to go back thursday n ofcause they had no appts on my lunch break so now i have to extend my lunch break just to finally get this done!!! errrr nightmare day!!

oh boy..im so sorry..that a real pita..that happened to me at the dmv once too..i brought the wrong bc..as frustrating as it all is just keep telling urself why u r getting it..all worth it in the end...hope u feel better and let us know how is goes on thursday

Wow...I'm sorry...FH had some issues with his passport as well... it was SUCH a releif when he finally got it.

Not to sound like a complete idiot but I didn't know that you needed an appointment to get your passport. I have always just showed up@ the post office.

on the positive side, if you don't need it until your honeymoon you have plenty of time- it will def get done!!!

Which post office did you go to? I got my passport years ago and didn't need an appointment and FH just got his recently and didn't need an appointment eiter...

what?? I didn't know there were two kind of BCs..... FH and I have ours up here but I have no idea if it's the right one or not and we need to get ours soon.... grrrr

Did you try another PO....the one I went to you didnt need an appt and I went early in the morning....I think you can look online to see which ones do it and what hrs

On the bright side, one of my co-workers applied for her passport on 2/7 and got it in the mail yesterday - so at least they're processing them quickly.
