I just want to add another thread about this controversial movie. I was watching American Morning on CNN this morning and apparently, nails that replicate the nails used to hang Jesus Christ on the cross are being sold as necklaces, and they are selling well. I can't find a picture of it, but I do find it to be a bit disturbing. One of the anchorpeople on this show said that it's just like wearing a pistol on a chain around your neck to remember JFK.

Re: Passion of Christ items
I've seen little prayer cards with a nail attached to them: 'to remind us that jesus died for us' That kind of thing...

unless I'm just reacting without thinking this through ...I find this completely disturbing!
and yes, I'd love to know where the 'proceeds' of these sales go!

I saw an article on those items in the newspaper this morning! I also found it very disturbing!

I looked on the CNN website and I can't find the article. But it was a silver nail on a chain to be worn as a necklace! Let me look again because I think it's unbelievable!

Is that a lot different then wearing a crucifix charm?

Interesting point. I guess it would depend on there the proceeds go and who is sponsoring this.
For some reason, it comes across more disturbing than the (socially acceptable) crucifix.

That thought did cross my mind, but I think that a nail is a bit more gruesome than a cross, but then again that's JMO.
I believe the 'proceeds' all go the whatever company is manufacturing these necklaces.

IMO, no more gruesome then the Christ head charms with the thorn crowns.
