does anyone know how long it takes to get a passport?

About 6 weeks... if you need it quicker than that, it can be rushed but you pay a lot extra for that... and will probably have to go into Manhattan or Connecticut to pick it up.

I got mine in like 3-4 weeks (even though it said 6).

If you definitely need it sooner, or in 3-4 weeks, I recommend the rush service (murphy's law, if you need it just slightly quicker it won't come).

when I got mine a few months ago, it took 5 weeks, but it was the summer so maybe it is busier in the summer.

they keep raising the dang fees! When I got mine this summer it was literally within days of them raising it again to like $97. I hate that. At least it's good for 10 years.

FH went on Friday and they told him expect 6 weeks

I just did mine on friday too, they told me about 4-6 weeks, from what I hear its usually about 4 weeks. The cost is $97, and expedite it is about $60 more I think.
