Passport

How do I go about changing my name on my passport? I believe I asked in a previous post but unfortunately, I was unable to locate it.

Just wondering...

Thanks

I still need to do that too. I just googled it and this website came up. Now I just need to get a certified copy of my marriage certificate.

Re: Passport

Well, I did the steps outlined above, and I received a letter today telling me that my 'Limited' passport was no longer valid, and I must reapply for a new one. My passport was not limited!! It was valid until 2010!! Plus the agency kept my old passport, which makes me very uncomfortable. I really don't like not knowing where my passport is, or what someone is doing with it!

So I spent about 20 minutes on hold with the NY Passport agency trying to find out what happened. That office cannot tell what happened, nor can they release the telephone number of the agency that has my passport. So, I have to wait 3 business days to see if the agency will call back and explain the problem. If they don't call back, I have to call agency #1 again.

Unfortunately, I did not make copies of my old application. Please do this before you mail it off--I could kick myself for not doing it now.

Are you serious? Yeah, I don't blame you...that would make me feel a little uneasy. Sorry to hear you had to go through all that trouble.

I appreciate the heads up
