Passport Help!!!!

I can't find the stupid thing anywhere! I purposely got the one that expires later so I wouldn't have to renew it so soon. And now I lost it!!

I know it's in my house somewhere.. but I've been looking for it for months and just can't find it for anything!

Is it really hard to get a replacement? Is the process the same as getting a brand new one?


What is a good post office to go to? I need to take pics there too! I don't know if I should go in the city or in Queens or on LI. If I go on LI it has to be on a weekend day, which can be difficult too because they aren't usually open. ggrrrr!!!!!!

Lost or Stolen passport info

This is the US passport website it will give you all the info you need.

I actually lost it like a year ago and STILL can't find it! So i'm scared that if I just 'keep looking' for it that I'll just be really wasting the time I would need to get a new one. It's like a catch 22!!!

It's $100 for a new one. I paid like $80 something when I first got it! I'm annoied!!!

Everytime I look for it I find FH's and I get even angrier!! hahahahaha!

Looks like I'll have to take another trip to the post office... I hate it there!

Someone mentioned that you after reporting it lost you will ALWAYS be stopped by security... NOT looking forward to that happening all the time!

If you need to go to Long Island on the weekends, the post office in the basement of Roosevelt Field is open for passports Saturday mornings.

I emailed my dad your question about being stopped (he works for immigration and customs) his response: 'She may get stopped more often because a lost or stolen passport does flag you. Especially during the time period the original lost passport is still valid. It usually stops after that.'

THANK YOU FOR THAT INFO!!! Thank you for emailing your dad for it too!! SOoo sweet of you!!! On the down side.. my passport would have expired 2012 so that's many years of being friendly with the security team!!!

There's a post office in the basement of Roosevelt Field mall? Interesting! Is it usually crowded on the weekends? I prefer less of a crowd. I'll even travel longer for a hobo one somewhere. The only thing is they need to take pics on site. I'm not running to a photo place too! That's too much for me.

Yes, it's in the basement of Roosevelt Field mall and is usually not crowded (even on weekends). They do take pictures there too (my friend from work just got them taken there). You also have to go online and fill out the missing passport form to bring with your completed application.

No problem about emailing my dad - he likes to feel helpful.

Guess I am not much help since I cant remember the prayer OR the saint lol Sorry.. if you are anything like me you will find it when you stop looking for it or when your new one comes in the mail lol

Hahahahaha yup St Anthony!! My grandmother used to do that... and it worked for her!!! hahahahaha! But i'm not so religious so he might not like me!!!! At this point I'll try anything to save $100!!!!

OH ST. ANTHONY Please please please help me find my passport so I don't have to go through the stress and money wasting and waiting time to get a new one!! Please St. Anthony you know you want to help me.

I did the paperwork already! So I'm ready to go. Thanks for the tip on that PO. We shall be going to that one then!!!

I'm going to give St. Anthony until next weekend to help me! If he can't then I will go the weekend of the 13th!

It'll work even if you're not religious. I'm not and St. Anthony always seems to come through. I even have my jewish friends saying the prayer and they swear by it!
