I'm sure this has been posted before, but I can't find an answer to my exact question! When we go to apply for our passports do we need our original birth certificates? Or can you bring a copy?

I did it at the Babylon Post Office.
And, yes, I would have the original. But, I'm not sure it's 'required'.

i know i got my passport with no problems AND i KNOW i didnt use my birth ceritificate
my mom FIXED my bc with BLUE PEN when i was born ( she thought she was holding a copy NOT the original ) SO i cant use it for anything

I'd say 4-6 weeks but they have been backed up because of the new law stating everyone needs a passport to leave the country. I'd order it ASAP.
