Passport Question!!

Does FH have to go with me to the Post Office? I will have all his documents/photos/$ with me but does he physically have to be there?

no you just give the post office the pictures and the application and u just have to pay for it.

Really???

I tried this and I got scolded by my Post Office for that! They told me they couldnt do it and I walked out all embarassed....

I would really call first and just make sure. something could have been up the postal workers @ss when I was there, but they were adament that he be present.

He went during his lunch half hour a day later and it took all of 15 min.

i read on the on the official us passport site that you have to be present.

The guy at my post office told me FH had to be there. So we are going next week.

He definately needs to be in attedance.. He needs to sign,, They will not let a third party sign???We are talking about a legal document..??

yup. he has to be there for them to compare the identifcation and passport pics. its also like getting a drivers license, he has to do it himself.

yup. he has to be there, because they compare the identifcation stuff with the passport pics.

getting a passport is a legal document, so he has to go get it himself.
