Hey Girls! I've been married for over a year and changed all my documents to reflect my married name... I just haven't changed my passport yet and we're going to Aruba in Feb. How do I go about doing that?
We went to Italy in April, but we just had the TA book me as my maiden name and now I really want to get this one last thing done.

Goggle us passport and there is a form that you can print for changes to a current us passport- or go to your local postoffice that does passports and fill out the form and submit it -- it should not take as long as applying for a new passport- you should have plenty of time(i am sure you will need all your proof of your new last name)

You have up to a year from the time you are married to go to the post office and fill out a change of name. You need 2 new pics and your marriage certificate. That is what I was told. I just received my passport 3 weeks ago.

Get an application--either on-line or at the post office. You'll need to send in your old passport AND your marriage certificate. It's really easy and quick and you'll have it in plenty of time for your trip in February.

Why is it only up to a year? I haven't done mine yet. It will be a year in September, but my passport expires in April 09. I was going to change it then.
