Passport Question

For those of you that recently applied for a passport for the first time, how long did it take to receive?

My friend's boyfriend just applied for the first time so that they can both go to Mexico in July. He applied in April and received his passport last weekend. I thought that was really quick, so I asked her did he do express service and she said 'no.' HTH

Thats pretty quick. Usually it does take a while so apply for it ASAP so its one less headache at the last minute ya know? =)

my dad sent his in and within two weeks he got it.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure i could trust the website, which says 4-6 weeks. I guess I don't need to expedite.

The only way you can expedite it is if you go 14 days prior to your trip...If your going in August then i suggest you start working on it now...DH got his in 3-4 weeks.

I have a trip on June 7 and I have to go in on June 2 to expedite my passport renewal...im freaking out! Just do it early to prevent any headaches...
