Hi girls we're taking our honeymoon a few months after we get married and it's international. My question is-how long did/does it take to get your name changed on your passport?

DO NOT change your passport untill after the honeymoon!!!!!
I am going to Rome and we booked the trip under my maiden name. ALL my ID, credit cards, licence and passport are in my maiden name. There is no way to change anything (really) before the wedding so I am just going under my maiden name.
We will let the hotel know when we get to the honeymoon that I should be called Mrs so and so.
But PLEASE dont change your passport or any ID till after you get home. It will just cause you problems, especially since you will be going overseas.

I agree.... DONT CHANGE anything until AFTER your honeymoon!!! You will encounter major problems if you do. On our honeymoon as much as I wanted my new last name on my things- it was much easier to travel with my maiden name since it is on EVERYTHING.... license, credit cards, etc..... Im in the process of changing my name now- and its already becoming a pain in the a$$

Gotcha Thank you girls.
Thank god-I was going to change my last name right after the wedding and try to get my new name on my passport expedited. But even still i think when you expedite it, it still takes a long time to get it.

We aer doing 3 days in Rome then going on a cruise to Greece and Turkey (and Italy).
I have to start doing research on what I want to do there and see.
Im so excited!!!
Do you have anything planned yet? The one thing I want to see id the cistene chapel and the Vatican.
Also, I love just walking around. Seeing the small places and side streets.

We are going to see the Vatican (i think the swiss guard soldiers are hilarious looking in their stripes)-and we're going to try to get to Castel Gandolfo which i think is up north. FH thinks hes a descendant from there lolol. Other than that, probably you're regular bus tours. And I'd LOVE to take a ride in the canal-which to be honest-I dont even know if its near Rome lolol
