So my new husband and I went to Laguardia this morning to leave for our honeymoon to St Lucia and we were denied because my husband did not have his passport yet -- only the proof of application and license which was SUPPOSED to be good enough. Just a warning to those of you who havent recieved your passports yet. You CANNOT leave the US without a Birth Certificate, Proof of App, AND a License. OR a US Passport. Anyway, we rebooked our flight and we are leaving tomorrow... fortunately it turns our his passport is being held at FedEX which we will pick up before our flight tomorrow.
Ok off to get some sleep and get ready for our delayed HONEYMOON :) :) :)

hey all - my FH is a customs officer and he said that the airlines set their own rules - most likely why Nicole + her DH were not allowed to fly. apparently if St. Lucia had refused to allow them in without a passport, the airline would have to pay to send them back to the US. sorry that happened - but i am glad you are on your way tomorrow!
