So we have yet to apply for passports... going to today . Was curious though if I should expedite them? We are getting married in NOV... we havent booked our HM yet but hope to do a cruise sometime in November. The website says 4-6 weeks for processing... for those that have done this is that a pretty true time period or did it take a little longer. What would u do?

Re: Passports?
ussually it takes about 2 weeks but because its summer it can take a little longer. If you have 2 months or more then i wouldnt worry. if youre traveling in a few weeks then i would expedite it.

I think you will be ok...just remember after you get married you will have to change yours again.

Re: Passports?
Without expediting mine, I received it 4 weeks from the date I applied. To expedite it was costly and the woman told me that at most it might knock off a week so it's not really necessary.

Re: Passports?
I just had to renew mine and it took 5 weeks to get it. If you are applying for the first time I think it takes a couple weeks longer but I think you'll be ok.

Thanks everyone...because of FH's procrastinating yesterday I now have to wait till next sat (cant take off from work to go) to bring our apps in. Im glad to hear its taken less time for some.. Co workers were telling me at least 3 months before you get them back!!!! I think I am going to do the reg process and hope for the best!
