I know they're relaxing the law until October 1st because of the backup..But what about people flying out of country after October 1st???? I sure hope I get mine in time. Anyone know about that...

When did you send yours out? Did you expedite it? I sent for my renewal on May 24th. I did not expedite it. I just received m passport today. I would say that you are fine if you sent for it the end of July. HTH!

We applied June 8th I think......leaving oct. 14...but i know someone who applied in may and didnt get hers yet either

I wouldn't worry too much. Like I said, I just got mine today with regular processing. I would think that you would get it by the end of August!

i agree you will probably get it in time...I applied May 25th and according to the website they are in the mail with a delivery date of approximately tomorrow!

ok this is my best piece of advice about passports - LIE LIE LIE LIE - i must have called morning noon and night - still got it a day after i told them i was leaving!!!!!!!!!!

Mine took 13 weeks just for a name change. You can always check status online and then you can call. You can always update your status if about 2 weeks before you leave and you dont have it just pay over the phone for expediated service that what I was told.

We applied in early June also, I got mine a few weeks ago, while FI got a request for more identification. I sent that back about a week ago (maybe 2), and we got his passport yesterday. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to return times - I wouldn't worry for another 3 or 4 weeks.

I can say this much...you are all lucky! We did ours the last week in April, going on 16 weeks...and have NOTHING back yet.

mine came last week. I sent out for it june 1st. it seems like theya re running back ontime. My bro sent his out the 2nd week in July and he expidited it and it came the sam day mine did!

FH applied the last week in april and I applied the first week of may
STILL NOTHING!!!
I am more concerned about having my birth certificate for the marriage license...so I took 2 hours away from work yesterday to drive to Oyster Bay to get a copy with the raised seal...
FH has to take half a day on Friday to do the same....
We CANNOT afford to be skipping work for this CR*P
