Past and Future February Brides

We haven't set a date but we are looking at scheduling the first or the second weekend in February. Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday, and we haven't decided on a Friday or Saturday. My question is ....did they charge you a higher cost for the flowers since it was so close to Valentine's Day?On top of that, we prefer a friday and the second week it's Friday the 13th!! ARGgh!! The last two weekends there are too many birthdays and anniversaries in the family.

What about January? If you move it up a little you can get all the holiday decorations!!! You pics will be beautiful

Unfortunately, we can't. My whole immediate family lives in out of state, and February was the best month to accomodate everyone. We want our whole immediate family there.

I was planning on having my wedding on Valentine's Day next year, However, I spoke with my Aunt and Uncle who have owned a florist for many moons, and they said forget it. They told me they would never even take a wedding on Valentine's Day. They are too busy. The flowers are super expensive and they are poor quality flowers. I changed my wedding to Feb 7 and I am still paying higher prices because it is the week before Valentine's day.

I wanted to get married the 2nd week of February too- but roses are more money on Valentines day- however- if you talk with your Florist before you set the date you could probably get a better idea. I just didn't want to deal with it (Florists are so busy that weekend)... so we got married January 31st!

I got married February 16th 2002. We used Stefan's and they did a wonderful job. One or two florists tried to charge us crazy prices but thank god we kept looking.

My wedding is on Valentine's day next year and I am super excited! I booked James Cress for the big event and he did not charge me extra because of the day. It is a big company and they said they would have not problem getting the flowers (roses ofcourse) Good luck!

HOw exciting on V-Day!! Just curious what are your colors? Actually, I wanted to have it the day before but my FH is superstitious and will not get married on Friday the 13th.

My MOH ordered her dress yesterday and the dresses are Mauve and Rose!

V-day Wedding, I absolutely love it! It's gorgeous! I'll consider that dress for my bm. I'm conteplating powder blue or that berry color in the pict. That dress had both of my colors. If you wanted to have your MOH stand out, you could have her in a solid Mauve or Berry. Very Nice.

Since I am having my wedding the week before Valentine's Day I wanted to kind of stay with the v-day colors, my girls are wearing Garnet and MOH is in Navy Blue(she had to be different). Here is a pic of the color and I will post the dress in a minute.
Everything the flowers and cake are all different shades of pinks and garnets and burgundys.

I'm getting married the 22nd and since it's a week after V-Day I'm actually getting a deal. The florist has a quota to fill in the month of February so she cut me a really nice price!

JuJu... I am ordering the dresses online at loralie.com. They have really good prices and have been extremely helpful so far, I didn't even order yet and they have accomodated me with tons of swatches and all the forms I need for the girls to get measured. They even offered to send me a sample of the dress before I order.
