not totally sure...we were under our minimum by only two people....they were still paid for. talk to whoever your working with...or try talking with Robert (general manager...he's great) & see what they can do!
unfortunately they will not work anything out for you. suchas throwing in free stuff to accomodate the loss on your wnd. 1 month before our wedding we thought that we were going to be under my min. & I asked this question.. they said they could not do anything for us.. luckily we met our min.. and went over by a few people and they charge us for the overage.

We were under by about 12 people and we had the chair covers thrown in, so they definitely do work with you!! (The again my BM knew I wanted them so that may be why he did it!)
Definitely speak with your BM. I asked him the same question when I was booking and he stated they would throw in some extras if we did not make our min.

thats not true. i was under my minimum by about 15 people and they threw in whatever i asked for! my BM was the head BM (rob stevenson) so whoever your BM is, tell them to talk to Rob (he has the final word on everything!!!). Rob is absolutely awesome! he did anything and everything to make sure i was happy! he worked with me and i got the chair covers throw in and the mini viennese dessert platters for each table. and then to make my life easier, he even through in the coffee/tea cordial table!
hate to say it but worse comes to worse, cry! they hate to see brides in disarray and will do anything to please you!!!
I was about 25-30 under my minimum. We got chair covers and chocolate fountain thrown in. BEWARE--I was told at my 6 week menu appt that I would discuss being below the minimum with the mairte d when I had my final appt. So at my final appt I started the dicsussion w/ my maitre d (who I ended up NOT liking AT ALL the day of teh wedding, but that's another story) she said it had to be discussed with my banquet manager or the owner. W T F!?!? SO, thank goodness for my DOC (Michelle-Defining Moments) she was there and was working on antoher wedding the week after mine also at JT, she had a meeting there the next day and talked with the owner, got us the chair covers and chocolate fountain.
