Are you taking all your pictures there or are you going to another 'garden' location also (Westbury gardens/Planting fields)? We were planning on doing both - not so sure now. I haven't seen the Woodlands during the summer. Suggestions? TIA!

The grounds are gorgeous there during the summer. FH's brother got married there a few years ago. We are not planning on going anywhere else. The grounds were one of the major reasons we picked The Woodlands.

I was thinking about going to Old Westbury Gardens before the ceremony but after seeing the grounds even in early spring I don't think there is really a reason to. There are also some amazing places for photo ops indoors and definitely plenty on the grounds...

I totally agree! I just kept thinking if the 'R' word just so happens to strike on my wedding day there are still so many great photo ops inside.

I started planning my day with the assumption it will rain... this may sound a little on the glass half empty side but when choosing a hall I had to think of what everything would look like if everything had to take place indoors... I didn't want the day to come and realize everything was going to be a logistical nightmare because of the weather! I eliminated at least 3 or 4 halls based on this alone! I mostly just wanted to be prepared! :)

Thanks Ladies! Here's the other question.... if you're taking all pics there, are you still going to get a limo to drive everyone there? I am having the ceremony there too.

i think im only getting a limo for FH and i since we are only having 1 GM and MOH.
and as for the photos, we are going straight to the woodlands from the church. i havent been there in the summer yet but i cant wait to see how gorgeous it will be.
also ive seen some awesome pics of the bride and groom outside with umbrellas.

Definitely taking my pictures there. There are some great shots of a bride who had pictures there when it rained. They came out terrific. I think they even used that red umbrella shot in their brochure.
