Past Brides-Did you guys write cards out to give your BM gifts??
Just trying to figure out if I need to bother to do this.

yes, but they were very small-sized cards.
I just wrote,
'Dear Sarah,
Thank you for making our wedding day so special'

THAT I can definitely handle.. writing out special notes to each one-- no way.. Already did that when I asked them.. and some have been slightly disappointing.. not sure what I would write in their cards-- 'thanks for being so un-enthusiastic'

I bought 'Thank you for being my bridesmaid' cards (same for GM, MOH and BM) at Hallmark. Then I just wrote, thanks so much for everything or something like that. I did it in the shower thank yous, the big thank you, so this was fine.

i didn't think the card stores carried those type of cards

Save the personal message for when you send thank yous to them.
They might do something particularly helpful on the day of the wedding, so it's good to talk about that in the thank you card. Or, they might give you a personalized gift, that you really appreciate.
It's much easier to express yourself after the wedding.

Yup - Hallmark stores do. But usually not too many - I had to go to a couple to get all the ones I needed.
