past brides: endorsing checks

past brides: endorsing checks

We received a few checks from people who can't make it to the wedding. Wedding is six weeks away.

How did you endorse checks made out to:

Mr. & Mrs. FH
me & FH

thanks!

i think you should check with your bank where you want to deposit it

I am assuming you have a joint account of some sort

because you need that to deposit it

Well my bank wouldn't let me cash or deposit checks that had both our names on it unless we had a joint account...

You should call your bank to see what they will do!

mine didn't have a problem with it but if yours does then you can have him sign it and then put 'pay to the order of' and then you sign it underneath that if you're putting it in your account. or just put it in his..that won't be a problem at all.

we didnt have a problem.. we had a joint account but she said we didnt need to.. just both of us sign and apply it to which ever account we wanted it to.. most were in mr and mrs mcdo15... so we both signed and wrote my account number on it..

My bank told me to endorse it twice, since they were made out to Mr & Mrs Goldberg and our joint bank account had my maiden name on it. So, I had to since the checks with my married name and then my maiden name.

I had to do that with all the checks we received on our wedding day.....so, it took a while!!!!!!!!!!!
