Re: Past brides - how long did it take
My hair stylist cannot come to my sister's house until 1:15 (long story) and we have to leave by 3:30 to take pics. Is it a big deal if my makeup gets done before my hair?

I think that as long as you don't get any hairspray directly on your face, that should be fine.

Good Question!!!
How many girls were in the party as well?
I have somewhat of a large party + me and it is a morning ceremony.

Re: Past brides - how long did it take
Not a past bride but my stylist and our DOC said 1 hour for hair. This came up when I said I would start getting ready at noon for 2 p.m. photos (about 10 minutes from the hotel). I may be sitting around at the hotel for a bit or maybe take pics at the hotel until it's time to leave for the formals. This all assumes that make up will be 15 - 30 minutes.

Re: Past brides - how long did it take
Not a past bride but, I was told about an hour.
I was in my friend's wedding last year though and something happened (she had a trial with this woman) and it took her longer so it was a big rush and we were late for the church.

Re: Past brides - how long did it take
my trial took over two and a half hours so she planned to do my hair first at 6:00 am, and it took about an hour (we were both suprised at how quick it was!) but i do have long thick hair. My sister with shoulder length hair took about 30 minutes. it also depends on how elaborate the style is and your hair type.

Re: Past brides - how long did it take
I have curly hair so it is bit different
I had it blown out the day before which took about an hour and then on the day off it took about an hour to put it up.

Most professionaly actually recommend getting the make-up done before the hair because the make-up artist could muss you hair and it would be harder to fix...
I'm going to have rollers put in my hair, get the make-up done, and then they'll finish my hair...HTH!
