Past Brides - I have a walking down the aisle question

Who walks the inlaws down the aisle? Does FMIL have an usher or does FFIL walk down with her - are they in the processional?

Help!

My father passed away 7 years ago. My oldest brother walked my Mom down the aisle.

My DH's father passed away 10 years ago. My DH walked his Mom down the aisle.

Dh's father passed away, so my Dh walked his mom down.

You can honestly do it however YOU want. There's no 'correct' way to do a processional. I'll tell you what I did though.

FH walked down with his brother (the Best Man). They stood up front.

Then:
FMIL w/her husband
FFIL w/his wife

BMs and GMs

FG and RB

MOH alone

Me and my parents

But every family dynamic is different so you have to do what works out best with your group.

I had FFIL and FMIL walk together down the aisle at the church,

My husband is Jewish, so both his parents walked with him down the aisle.
In Christian ceremonies, the parents of the groom walk down the aisle together, they are usually the first pair to walk down. It is the mother of the bride that is escorted by an usher since the father of the bride walks with the bride.

They walk together, if they are divorced or seperated you can have their SO walk them or designate a friend that is close to your family to walk them down

I'm not sure who will be walking FMIL down the aisle, FH's brother is the best man and their dad is not in the picture, so I am assuming maybe one of FMILs nephews? everyone else is in my BP so I don't know how that would work

strange- why wouldnt she want to walk with her husband

maybe her son and husband can walk her. Is her son an usher and will that mess up the BP order?

is she thinking this b/c when the bride is walked by her father the MOB is walked by a son or usher??

I am personally going to have my in laws walk together. And have my bro walk my mom down the aisle. I don't see how this would be a problem so see if it works for you!
