Past Brides: Question about bringing items to hall

For all past brides, how did you organize the things that you brought to the hall like the favors and stuff? I want to put the stuff in boxes arranged by table. My mom thinks I am crazy, that I should just put everything in boxes and say what goes where. I just feel that there is less room for error how I am doing it. For example, each table will have it's own box with 6 candles, X favors, etc...

Am I being nuts? I just think that if I mess something up, I will be OK, but if they mess something up, I will be annoyed. I told my mom 'just let me do it my way so that I feel better.' But I don't want to seem like an anal witch.

My hall told us to write down on a copy of the layout the amount of favors at each table. We had a CD and some chocolates, chocolates were more than CDs.. The Hall is used to doing weddings.. They can handle it.
As far as our sign-in book, and all the other little things, we included it on the 'instruction list'... You will be fine..

I had all favors together with a note that said '1 per person'

anything else was also numbered like that '1 per table' etc.
