IDK what you consider reasonable but i have a string trio for my cocktail hour. It consists of a Violinist, Cellist & a Voila. They quoted me 585 for the hour. But you can have just 2 players etc. I booked them West Islip String Ensemble. Good luck!

You can always contact the music department of your local university/college - the students often play at events to make extra money and to gain additional experience for their resumes. They usually are inexpensive as well.

I used them and they were great! I highly recommend them. I had 4 players and for they were for the church and cocktail hour- and they were a little over 1k.

Miriam Shilling ([email protected]) is a harpist and she's pretty reasonable. She's $400 for ceremony, $500 for ceremony and cocktail hour. She did my sister's wedding and it was a nice touch. I only booked her for the ceremony but I think I might actually pay the extra $100 for the cocktail hour too.

There's also Janet King but she's like double the price.
