We JUST got back from Tuscany Italy and it was AMAZING...
We figured we like going to the Islands or warm places when the weather is cold here in NY so, it would be a great time to see Italy and it was perfect....
It does get a little more crowded around Rome and Florence and such in the heart of summer but, Spring and Fall are great - Driving around is a load of fun going to all the old towns and wine tasting through the Chianti area.....
We probably spent around $5,500 but, the exchange rate stinks and they have Prada, Fendi, Ferragamo and Gucci outlets.
Edited: price to take into account free flights from credit card points and the Euro...

Sandles Whitehouse Jamaica, I got it on 50% discount, but it was awesome. I would really think about what you want. If you want a short plane trip, an island just below the states is good. If you are going during hurricain season I would rethink that (though they do have a guarentee). All inclusive or on your own. More hiking or more laying in the sun.
