PAST BRIDES WHO WENT TO AFRICA

Ladies I need your help!

I am going to Africa for my honeymoon - what advice can you give me and FH from your experience?!? Is there anything that I better make sure I bring, Is it really that hot and humid there, how is the transition from one hotel to the other? Any 'helpful advice' will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Where in Africa are you planning to go? I've been to Uganda before where it was hot but not humid. I'll be going to Kenya this summer and I've heard that it's hot (dry heat) during the day and on the chillier side during the evening.

I went as a volunteer and stayed in a contact's house so I have no idea about accommodations.

Where in Africa are you going? I was in Tanzania & Zanzibar in January.

The weather was great in Tanzania - warm in the day(70's & 80's), cool at night (50's & 60's).

Zanibar was awful - like 110 degrees with 100% humidity - but it's a tropical island so it's what you would expect.


I'd make sure you have pepto bismol, aspirin, bandaids, alcohol swabs, deet (100% worked great for me), prymetherine (for bedding/clothing).
