Past brides...did you request to have any leftover food packed up?
Seeing as many people don't eat everything at weddings, especially at cocktail hour. I was wondering if you requested leftover food to be packed up?

Only food I got was mine and dh dinners ... They did give us cake and cookies from the vienesse hour .... No real food though

We didn't even have to request it ... they packed everything up for us!
Too bad we lost power for 4 days after and wasted the food anyway ...

We got dinners wrapped up but not CH food, there is a limit to how many hours the food can sit before the RH has to throw it out by law. We actually had asked about donating all our leftovers to Island Harvest, but our BM told us about the law.

all the leftover food that was not served was given to us to take home. we had enough food for 2 weeks! we ended up giving some away to our siblings and kept enough for us to eat in the 5 days before we left for our HM but we didn't ask for it, it was just given to us

No - but they sent us home with two full dinners and two bottles of wine.
That was ONE of the nice things they did for us.

they wrapped us a giant box from VH and some food but i know i ate my entire dinner so i guess they gave us the other food that we didn't get to try...sweet...i wish i had some right now

we had 8 boxes to take home...i had no idea what it was and by the end of the night i didnt even ask.... looked at it the next day and it was all cakes & cookies from VH
i would definitely ask them for some food to take with you...but i forgot

Hey Anney (sorry if I misspelled) Don't feel too bad. I did ask knowing that a lot of food will be wasted and the response was that they are not allowed to by law. It's a reheating health hazard issue. Only restaurants have that right. Cookies and pastries aren't even allowed!

We received our cookies(which we purchased from an outside bakery and brought to the rh) and our cake...I know they boxed up my dinner but I don't know what happened to it.

Russo's packed up everyone's meal and then gave them a 'coat check number' so that they could pick it up on the way out....they kept it in the fridge so it wouldn't be out all night!!
They also packed up all 11 entrees for us to take home (my parents took it home for us) and we had it the next night for dinner. Russo's also packed up a ton of desserts for us to take home, but the guests had pastry boxes to fill that we provided. They also gave my mom and my MIL 4 trays of fresh pastries to take home!!!

They said they couldn't pack up anything from CH for food safety issues (I guess because it was already sitting out) but they gave us our dinners plus 5 more to bring home. I wish they had given us more since we did have a lot of no shows. I also had a high box of pastries from the Viennese. I wish we had more since I didn't eat at the wedding

and one of each dinner

We ended up with tons of food. They were very good about that.
