Past Brides....Is this a good schedule to follow?

I am wondering what you think of this schedule....my biggest concerns are 1) will there be enough time to get hair & makeup done and 2) will guests arrive early while we are doing photos??? (Invitation time is 11:00am)

5:00am....2 hair/make-up girls will do me plus 3 BM

7:00am...photographer gets their for some getting ready shots

8:30am.....leave for RH

9:00am....start pictures with FH and BP

10:30.....go up to Bridal Suite

11:00am....ceremony!

Eek, that's early, but I think that's what you're going to have to do.

I had hair and makeup for 3 people start 5 hours before my ceremony. I was a little rushed at the end because one of my BM was running a little late and they didn't want to start my hair and make-up until closer to the ceremony time.

Talk to your photographer and find how much time s/he will need to ge tthe shots that you want. That helped me a lot with the scheduling.

My photographer got to the house 2 hours before the ceremony started so I don't know if she/he is going to want to be at your house earlier. I hate to tell you this but you might have to start a bit earlier than that. Check with your photographer, hair and MU people though. They will have better insight.

I have the same worries as you. My best friend had a daytime wedding and said her hair appt ran long, so she didn't have time to perfect her makeup and felt really stressed. I think she started around 8am. She told me that it's better to be ready early than feel so rushed. 5am should give you plenty of time.

I think I'm getting up at 6 cause I'm not a morning person, and definitely have to take a sleeping pill the night before around 9 or 10pm, so no late rehearsal dinner for me!

I also worry that guests may get there early while I'm taking pics, but what can I do?

An hour and a half sounds a lot for pics at your house.
I am assuming that your hair and make-up are being done at the house.
Confirm with your hair/make-up person how long this should take and then speak with your photog about what time he/she would like to start with the photos.

You don't want to be rushed, but you do want a somewhat good schedule.

Starting at 5am sounds good though.

I did hair/makeup with my sis and niece at a salon, got there at 7:30, got to the RH at about 9:45 and got dressed there. Started photos at 10:00, took about 1-1/2 hours then had some time to freshen up before the wedding started at 12:00.
The control freak in me had me driving myself on my wedding day. I wasn't leaving that up to anyone else.
