Someone named Tino called me today in order to make my menu. I am going next Monday and I am so excited! I went to a tasting a few months ago, but I still have a few questions. What four entrées did you pick for your wedding? Was there anything that your guest LOVED? An entrées or something at the cocktail hour? Did anyone have the Cheesecake Martini Bar? Did anyone have the Candy Cart? Did your guest take candy home? When will I order my wedding cake? Thanks for your help!

Re: Past Chateau La Mer Brides
Tara, Debi and Fred chose Chateaubriand,Chicken Francaise, Chilean Sea Bass Oreganata, and stuffed Jumbo Shrimp. I had the chateaubriand, and it was good. I didn't care for the 'tatertot' served with it. I would have preferred mashed or baked potato. Also, the following was on our plate, first course; I don't know what it was called, but some of us really didn't care for it.
I really loved some of the cocktail hour food!!!! Like the little quiches!!!! There was suppose to be Hawaiian chicken, but I didn't see any at the cocktail hour. Actually, as I read over the cocktail hour selections, I can say, I didn't see some of them that day!!!! I'll have to ask Debi about that. Mary MOB

The tater tot tater tot looking thing can be replaced with either a mashed or red potato or anything you want. I would ask Lou. I know at my tasting I asked if I can have a different potato. I didn't like the tater tot potato. Just something to think about and let them know ahead of time.
I am also curious about the cheescake bar too!
That picture looks like one of their appetizer choices. I don't have the menu in front of me, but I know we are not choosing that either. It wasn't bad at the tasting, but we prefer a lighter choice to start with. Especially after cocktail hour.

Thanks ladies! A lot of good feedback so far. My FH loved the tater tot thing at the tasting, I think. It is the long, crusted over thing with like mashed potato inside, right? Nelle5757 - May 16th, is my birthday. I will be 32! Great day for a wedding! Good Luck!

that is the mozzarella pinwheels app. I actually liked that at the tasting. The other options didnt really appeal to us as much (some melon options and a pasta one, but we are having a small pasta served after that and before the salad so that didnt make sense for us)
we also had the tater tot things at the tasting and while i didnt mind the way they tasted, i dont know that i'd want them served at my wedding. i will prob opt for another potato

What four entrées did you pick for your wedding? Chateau Briand (spe) Veal Chop Chicken Francaise Chillen Seabass
Was there anything that your guest LOVED? An entrées or something at the cocktail hour? EVERYONE loved the pig, it was gone within 15 minutes of the ch. I think they had another one but unsure. I had a food critic at my wedding and he loved the sea bass.
When will I order my wedding cake? You order it when you do your menu selection (two months before your wd). Best bet is to know what you want, how you want it to look bring pics and type out instructions otherwise your stuck looking at books and might not see what you want.

Thanks Ladies! Did you get to taste the cakes the night you make the menu? I know what I want my cake to look lie, but I am not sure what favor(s) I want. I The cake I picked out looks a lot like Debi & Fred's Cake. What did they have inside? Was is good?

We had the Chateau Briand, stuffed veal chop, chick franchese and Sea Bass. Everyone LOVED the Steak and Sea Bass. Everyone also loved the potato croquet (tater tot) some tables asked for more, and they brought a whole plate for them..haha.
Cocktail hour everyone raved about the seafood. Mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari...anything seafood was a big hit. Also the mushroom, tomato, mozzarella appetizer...
Pretty much all the food was complimented on.
You dont get to taste the cake, but we had yellow cake with chocolate mousse and raspberry. It was one of the best cakes I've ever had. It was so moist and delicious. My husband and I ate another peice the next day..haha.

I recently went to a wedding at CLM and they had the vienese hour with the candy cart, cotton candy, popcorn (yucky smell) candy and carmel apples, ice cream sundae bar and crepe station. They had so much desserts and candies it was insane. People pounced on it like they were told they would never ever get dessert again.. they filled plates that could have fed the whole table. I never thought that it was a neccessity at a wedding, but i must admit I enoyed it... however after eating a different pc of cake, and a few cookies i didn't even taste the wedding cake. but I filled a bag full w/ candy and even took home a candy apple.
We actually liked the breaded potato. We did not like the cocktail hour so much. and at the reception we only got a salad then the entree. there was no pasta course. Make sure that if you are paying for top shelf liquor that you get it.. at the wedding we went to the liquor was baddddd. I just ended up drinking soda. And all I wanted was a vodka cranberry. nothing complicated... 6 tries btw my friend and I and we said forget it.
