Past Flowerfield Brides(Poll)-Need Help

I need your help...FH really wants to add on the Jewels of the Sea package to our cocktail hour, but I feel it is a huge waste of $(it will be about 3500...now I don't eat seafood, so he says I don't have a say..but I wanted to know if any other brides had it and what they thought about it...

TIA for helping us with this debate

That money could be put to better use in my opinion. There is already SO much food at the CH.

What about passed jumbo shrimp? I did that for $5 extra a person and it was a hit!
That way you don't spend a ton and you can still have some extra seafood.

We're in the same dilemma as well (although I love fish). We may do the passed shrimp, nothing at all, or suck it up and get the Jewels. Seems like so much money though for one station, esp with 200 ppl

We were in the same boat. We decided to go for it and get the Jewels of the Sea. It is a lot extra but I know our guests will love it and are all big seafood people. My cousin got married at Tribeca Rooftop (also a Lovin Oven venue) and had more seafood than a guest could imagine and it was a HUGE hit. Even though there was so much other food being passed there were people lined up at the Jewels station. Before we even booked Flowerfield FI and I said Tribeca had the best food we ever had at a wedding. I don't think its necessary with all the other options though. It's just a yummy extra.

it is definitely impressive! i went to a wedding there and everyone was piggin out on the seafood!! if you can swing it go for it--a lot of people were saying how good it was.......if you can't swing it, don't worry about it--it is still a fab. CH!!

We are debating also but if you don't do it there is plenty of yummy food to go around without it.
Good luck!

We are choosing to not do that, instead we are doing passed sushi...

We added the jewels of the sea and it was definitely worth it and it was a hge hit with all our guest. The station looks so great all set up with the ice sculpture. All our guests still rave about how good the seafood was especially the jumbo shrimp and the crab legs. We wanted the sushi station originally as well but decided we had enough so we did passed sushi since lots of our friends are sushi lovers.

IMO, save that money for something else.

the CH goes by in flash! and chances are you will only be at your CH for a few minutes.

DH and I spent some time at our CH, but it was so crazy b/c everyone wants to talk to you and congratulate you. the only time we saw the actual food displayed was in our proofs. no one even noticed the music. everyone talks, drinks, eats and before you know it, it's time for the reception.
